- Abstract: Purpose of this paper: Value Management (VM) is a proactive, problem-solving management system that maximises the functional value of a project by managing its development from the concept stage to the operational stage of projects through multi-disciplinary value teams. It is essential to measure its contribution to the improvement of construction-project performance in the South African construction industry. This study explores the contributions of VM to the improvement of construction performance in the construction industry of South Africa.
