Abstract
More and more universities in South Africa have repositories and have adapted Open Access policies to archive and disseminate research outs. But the staff responsible for managing the development of IR’s in South Africa face a number of challenges. In order to deal with theses challenges the University of Johannesburg, University of South Africa, University of Pretoria and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) are collaborating to share experiences, strategies and solutions.
