Abstract
The UJ Faculty of Health Sciences in partnership with the UJ Library invites you to join the First Lady of South Africa, Madam Tobeka Madiba-Zuma as she talks about her campaign:
Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancer in Africa
About the SA First Lady:
Madam Zuma, is the founder of the Tobeka Madiba - Zuma Foundation, a patron of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), pink drive. It has done very well in ensuring that the early screening for cancer is scaled up. "The subject of female cancer is not only close to my heart but in my heart. I've witnessed women die pre-maturely [for illnesses] that could have been prevented if we were strong on prevention and screening.”
The TMZ Foundation enables her to honour the aims and objectives of the Forum of African First Ladies (FAFLABCC) against breast and cervical cancer. As an African First Lady who is part of the FAFLABCC, she is responsible for planning, initiating and implementing their individual and collective action plans at country, regional and international levels.
