invites you to the opening of an exhibition about
The Archival Footprint of Women and its Value for Research, with special focus on Amina Cachalia
This exhibition is based on Amina Cachalia’s personal documents which were donated to the UJ Library Special Collections by the Cachalia family.
This collection consists of among others:
• unique photographs of the ANC leadership
• interesting letters written to and from Nelson Mandela
• poems by Amina
• the manuscript of her autobiography “When hope and History Rhyme”
