Abstract
The aim of the paper is to establish some theorems of the alternative for a system of mappings in generalized complete metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize the well-known results of Daiz and Margolis (Bull Am Math Soc 74:305-309, 1968), Matkowski (Bull Acad Polon Sci S & eacute;r Sci Math Astron Phys 21:323-324, 1973), Jleli and Samet (J Inequal Appl 38:8, 2014), and many others. We also present some illustrative examples to validate our results.
