Abstract
The aim of this paper is manifold. Firstly, we introduce two new
classes of operators: the modified Kannan contraction operator and the interpolative modified Kannan type contraction. Secondly, we show the existence of
a unique fixed point for a newly defined iteration technique used to approxi
mate the fixed point of these two classes of operators. Finally, we explore the characterization of the Banach space related to the modified Kannan contraction operator and its fixed point. Examples are provided to support our results.
