Abstract
The Journal of Industrial Psychology: In business for 20 years. Reasons for the establishment and the development of the Journal are presented. Statistics are provided regarding the number of manuscripts received, rejected and published, the designation of first authors, the contents of articles, language distribution, etc. In conclusion a number of factors contributing to the success of the journal are identified i.e. absolute outonomy with respect to editorial policy, financial independency, ideological neutrality regarding points of view expressed in articles, and a hardworking, committed editorial board.
