The changing scenario in education in post apartheid South Africa with the enactment of
the South African Schools Act No. 84 (RSA,l996), has heralded numerous changes,
challenges and problems for the present day educator. The effective management of these
changes and the implementation of renewal strategies pose enormous challenges to
present day school management and staff.
