The findings of this study suggests that implementation of OBE at the level of
school management and teaching and learning practices in schools researched is
confronted by a number of challenges which frustrate their implementation and
realisation. School management and educators need to be made aware of what is
expected of them in processes of implementation. There is a need for their
continuous support, which should take into account their historical backgrounds.
Provision of infrastructure also needs immediate and serious attention if the
implementation of OBE is to succeed in these schools.
