Abstract
PURPOSE: In modern society neck and shoulder pain is one of the most common complaints seen by professionals in the healthcare sector. In recent years case reports about myofascial pain syndrome are emerging among patients suffering from pain. Myofascial pain syndrome is a soft tissue pain syndrome with local and referred pain arising from hyperirritable bands called myofascial trigger points. Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive technique and very little discomfort or pain is experienced by the patient during and after treatment.
