Abstract
The demand for compact military and aerospace imaging devices is increasing. These devices are required to be lightweight, durable and reliable. Most existing compact imaging devices use a miniature cam drive mechanism to control the zoom lens. However, high-speed friction induces excessive wear between the surfaces of moving parts in the zoom lens system, reducing its durability.
