Inhibition of mycothiol biosynthesis pathway has attracted attention from chemists and biochemists who aim to develop novel anti-TB drugs. A possible route to inhibit the production of mycothiol in cells may be via the inhibition of enzymes involved in the biosynthetic pathways.
