Abstract
Pharmaceuticals are considered as emerging contaminants, mainly because they are frequently detected in the environment. They are constantly used for human health reasons and are necessary for remedy, so it is almost impossible to restrict their use. The continuous detection of pharmaceuticals in environment water confirms that methods of water treatment plants were not made specifically for removal of these contaminants. These compounds are composed of natural and synthetic compounds, which make them to be very diverse. As a result of growing demand for medical treatment, the production of pharmaceuticals is constantly increasing. Therefore, there is a need for development of new efficient methods for the extraction, pre-concentration and removal of these analytes from different environment matrices. Therefore, the aim of this study was to prepare cheap and efficient materials as adsorbents for extraction and preconcentration of acetaminophen (ACT), caffeine (CAF) and carbamazepine (CBZ) from various environmental matrices...
