Abstract

The general aim of the research project is to:
develop a management-training programme for principals in respect of strategic
leadership_
In order to accomplish the above general aim, the following serve as specific aims for this
particular mini-dissertation namely to:
investigate which aspects are involved in the empowerment of educators ..
design guidelines so that principals can acquire the management skills necessary to
empower educators;
test the programme using a pre-test post-test experimental design; and
provide guidelines as to how principals can empower educators in schools
