Career maturity is a dimension of development which
have not been researched intensively in South Africa.
This study was conducted to prove the usefulness of the
Career Maturity Inventory (CMI) for first-year university
students in the RSA. The respondents used is the
1986 first-year students of the Rand Afrikaans University
