Abstract
Background: Biomedical waste management (BMWM) is a major concern around the globe and remains in its infancy in developing countries. Health-care services inevitably create hazardous waste than any other type of waste. Inadequate and inappropriate handling of biomedical waste (BMW) poses serious public health and environmental challenges, thus sound management of BMW is critical.
