Abstract
Background: A thorough understanding of the safe practices while handling needles and sharps is crucial for Health care workers to create a risk-free workplace environment. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of handling medical sharps among healthcare workers in Intermediate Hospital, Oshakati, Namibia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 2020, using a purposive sampling strategy for sample selection. The sample size of 490 was calculated using EPINFO version 7.2.
