Abstract
Background The past few years have witnessed huge technological advancements under the digital transformation umbrella, which has changed the environment of construction project management. Aim This study is devoted to identifying the influence of digital transformation on stakeholder involvement in the construction industry, which is one of the areas where digital tools and methodologies mean a shift in the area of project management as well as in the course of stakeholder communication. Methodology The literature review was conducted comprehensively and covered recent developments from 2020 to 2023 (inclusive), which, among other themes, mention digital transformation and stakeholder management in the construction sector. The survey that provided a backdrop for the review was carried out among high-profile construction project stakeholders that included project managers, engineers, contractors, and owners, unveiling their perceptions of digital transformation and its role in improved project management Results This report shows that digital transformation promotes faster communication and cooperation between the key players, leading to rationalized decision-making and better project' outcomes. Nevertheless, the findings have also pointed out that despite the positive effects of the new jobs, these conflicts will persist, and the bureaucracy will end up undermining the gains. Conclusion The study concludes that a one-size-fits-all approach to digital transformation initiatives for the different
stakeholder groups will not work, and there is a need for customized strategies that will address their specific needs.
