Abstract
Water connects each and every aspects of life. Water is the most essential natural resource for
surviving of life over earth. No one imagine life without water so no water no life. But
unfortunately our planet is experienced with crisis of water and it is keeps on rising throughout the
world. Due to various factors such as Urbanization, climate change and forest cutting less rain are
experienced throughout the world. These factors are altering patterns of weather causing less rain
and as a result droughts happen in some areas and ended up with shortage of water. Most of the
countries are unable to get sufficient amount of water to drink and irrigation over the Farm.
In order to protect our lives, we must need smart water management system to stop wasting of
water. It is much needed to move out of existing boundaries and provide an intelligent and smart
enough solution to reduce wasting of water. This can be possible with an efficient solution based
upon new emerging technologies such as Machine learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
Internet of Things (IoT) etc. To meet the industry revolution by using digital technologies Water
4.0 much needed to meet by making a solution using these advanced digital solution.
In this dissertation a smart water management system based upon IoT is presented. This solution
made for water 4.0 to push the existing solution boundaries and to meet productivity and its
efficiency for industries. The solution discussed here is a combination of electronics Hardware and
software communication over cloud network. This complete solution is based upon ideology of
water leakage detection in real time and their control action in order to protect them from wasting.
