This study is primarily intended to research methods that companies should adopt
before making a purchasing decision of application software.
This study endeavours to provide valuable information concerning the methodology
involved in making management decisions in the technology arena. It will investigate
a more formalised approach of reaching the right application choice.
The study also investigates what companies should consider when making a choice
regarding application purchase and identifies some "Top 100" vendors in the market
place today.
The method adopted takes the form of a literature study on frameworks used by
Information Technology professionals today.
