The automation of manufacturing systems is a very important research area. This study is concerned with information infrastructures for manufacturing enterprises and the various methods that could be utilised to do enterprise modelling.
The objectives of this study is to:
• analyse the various enterprise modelling architectures
• apply one of the architectures to a manufacturing enterprise and to evaluate this architecture
• compare the various architectures.
