Abstract
The world is moving towards nanotechnology, nanomachines and internet of things, which require wireless communication. This wireless communication will shape the innovation of digital society in the future. At the moment, literature reveals that there is no space in the frequency spectrum for the increasing population and high demand of data transfer.
Chapter 1 of this research contains the general background and introduction of the study. Problem statement, objectives of the research and preliminary research methodology are also covered in this chapter. Chapter 2 gives details of the in-depth literature review pertaining to nanotechnology, nanomachines, and terahertz frequency band. The OPNET 14.5 Modeler which is applied in wireless body area networks, personal area networks and local area networks is explored here. The two types of protocols i.e., transmission control protocol (TCP) and user diagram protocol (UDP) are being dealt with under literature survey. Chapter 3 deals with the research methodology used in this study. The OPNET 14.5 Modeler has been used to simulate the results. Chapter 4 details the analysis of results. The diagrams and model used for simulation purposes are explained here. Different waveforms and their results are recorded in this chapter. Chapter 5 deals with the research findings. These findings are based on the literature relating to this study and the results obtained during the modelling and the simulation of the results. Chapter 6 concludes the research study and gives recommendations thereof. Here, the proposed further research is also included, and it is based on the study already carried out in this research.
