Globally, Higher Education (HE) is compelled to stay abreast and adapt teaching and learning practices to align with new developments necessitated by everchanging technologies. HE should capitalise on the affordances of technology and move to equip students with the appropriate attributes. Although recent research indicates a global improvement in integrating technology with teaching and learning practice and design, evidence abound that higher education institutions (HEIs) in many developing countries are lagging, despite intensive strategising and guidance availed by organisations such as UNESCO and others. African HEIs are struggling to make comparable progress in teaching with technology than the rest of the developed and developing world and to date there is little evidence of progression.
