Abstract
The emerging entrepreneurs continue to find it difficult to challenge established entrepreneurs especially in sectors such as the property development. The slow development of emerging entrepreneurs makes it difficult to introduce new players in the sector to address the housing challenges. The research is informed by the need to understand the challenges facing emerging entrepreneurs in property development that caters for the households in the gap market with a view of addressing them. The study undertook a qualitative descriptive research to identify these challenges that face for the emerging entrepreneurs within the housing sector. The research conducted 15 interviews out of the total population of 76. The research concludes that emerging entrepreneurs face numerous challenges including access to finance and lack of technical skills.
