The study aims at recording and reporting the experiences of learners who attempted to learn using a spreadsheet to factorise quadratics at a high school in the West of Gauteng Province. In order to achieve the aforementioned aim, the objectives are mentioned as follows: To describe how spreadsheets are used in Mathematics education To describe are the design principles for effective electronic web-based teaching environment including a spreadsheet To describe how the learners experienced the spreadsheet-based learning environment To provide recommendations for further implementation in the similar situations as compared to conventional approach.
