The general aim of this research project is to:
Investigate the components of teacher competence and how these aspects can enhance
teaching effectiveness.
In order to achieve the general aim, the group dealing with leadership will:
Investigate the composition of leadership and indicate how this can enhance teacher
competence.
As a member of the group dealing with leadership it is the specific aim of this research essay
to
determine the contribution of an ethical basis towards leadership.
procure teacher opinion as to the extent that teachers demonstrate ethical commitment as
an aspect of leadership.
develop a strategy where teacher ethics as part of leadership plays a vital role in
enhancing teacher competence.
Having discussed the general and the specific aims of the problem it is now appropriate to
discuss the method of research.
