The purpose of this study was to investigate the accuracy of
SOAP84-simulations of delay and percentage stops at isolated signalized
intersections. In the application, capacity was distinguished in terms of lane configuration only. Results at the intersections showed SOAP overestimating both delay and percentage stops by as much as 100%. It is recommended that the same investigations be repeated with more accurate information on the capacity of the intersections.
