Abstract
The research study explored a school development programme (Needs Based Programme) in a rural public school to determine how it unfolds and the resultant effects thereof. The qualitative research approach was selected as the best method to utilize since the data collected is in the form of spoken and written words making use of interviews, observations and documents on school development. The case study design was as the research design of the study due to its appropriateness for the research topic under investigation. The efficacy of such a research design will be explored under the research design section.
