Abstract
Companies in the telecommunication sector have a challenging task of providing services like voice, data, video conferencing etc. to their customers through implemented networks. These networks have to be reliable to deliver these services in a cost-effective way, but some have shown some huge failures that have resulted in financial losses thus putting a question on their capabilities and the maintenance strategies adopted to deliver on their mandate. The following study should present findings on the critical factors that influencers reliability in the implementation and maintenance of these networks as identified in the literature review. To conduct this research, I chose the company I am employed at that falls under the telecommunications sector and responsible for signal distribution due to its matrix structure that I referred to as Telecoms Company.
