Abstract
M. Ed.
The aim of this study is to assess and evaluate, from students’ perspectives, the
implementation of a module in an undergraduate programme using authentic learning tasks
and activities that integrate ICT. The focus is to investigate how students make meaning of
their interaction with authentic learning tasks incorporating ICT and how do they relate
that interaction to the underpinning theoretical frameworks upon which the module is
based. Therefore in order to achieve the study’s aim, the following sub-questions which are
the study’s objectives will be attended to:
· What is authentic learning tasks and what are its attributes?
· How can the use of ICT facilitate the attainment of authentic learning tasks?
· What is the theoretical framework underpinning the design and implementation of ICT integration in an educational setting.
