The purpose of the present study was to gain a deeper understanding of the differences between cultural groups of vehicle salespersons with respect to organisational commitment.
The unit of analysis for the study was individual employees in the job category of vehicle salespersons in a motor retail organisation. The data was collected through the administration of a survey questionnaire developed by Allen and Meyer (1990) to vehicle salespersons in the organisation (n=314). The majority of respondents (36.90 percent) were African-language speakers, 32.30 percent were English-language speakers and 30.60 percent were Afrikaans-language speakers. The minimum and maximum ages were 20 and 70 respectively.
