Abstract
This empirical study explores the impact of human capital development (HCD) in the era of the South African skills development initiatives for inclusive socioeconomic growth. In the current vulnerable economic situation, officials and social partners are mandated to provide economically sustainable and ecologically viable HCD solutions to current challenges and find innovative alternatives for a sustainable future workplace. Higher levels of communication are required to identify the future challenges and the willingness of all stakeholders to explore the relevancy and value of HCD relationships.
The study presents the opportunity for social partners to contribute to a HCD management framework to present evidence regarding resources and consultation required to support the new world of work in process. This framework could provide solutions for preparing for the future world of work and to supply new recruits with information obtained from industry-specific HCD communities. The framework could become instrumental in developing agile HCD managers at the core of the unification and the success factors required to ensure that the collective goals are implemented.
The research question explores the relevancy of such a framework from the voices and opinions of stakeholders, including empirical research undertaken as a solution to deal with challenges regarding social and economic stability in the SA economic and social development landscape.
