occurrences, complexity of design and execution as well as its sophisticated targeted nature
is a worldwide phenomenon that increasingly sparks concern from countries, governments
and the private sector business alike. Organisations at all spheres cannot continue to ignore

availability of information and infrastructure endures as decisive defensive measures, but it is
no longer efficient as a comprehensive resolve.
With countries, governments and private sector business continuing to move their concern
and existence to the cyberspace, the rationale and approach towards being secure in
cyberspace need to evolve and mature beyond defensive only approaches, in relation to the
amplification of cyber threats. A dedicated focus on both defensive and offensive approaches,
within a multi-disciplinary and integrated methodology such as contained within Cyber
Counterintelligence concepts, are required to address the threats that countries, governments
and private sector business face today, and into the future...
