Abstract
spiritual values influence employee affiliation and motivation. Drawing on interpretative phenomenological analysis, the study employed semi-structured interviews with nine senior managers from a South African mining and infrastructure equipment organisation. Key themes include value-centric leadership, ethical conduct, trust, empathy, and the integration of spirituality in the workplace. Findings suggest that Spiritual Leadership enhances organisational commitment when grounded in authenticity, trust, and belief. A theoretical model is proposed to illustrate these dynamics. While workplace spirituality shows promise, it remains an emerging field requiring further investigation into its practical application in leadership.
