Primary tapped transformers have been introduced through various topologies. These tapped
transformer topologies are simply modifications of existing topologies. This paper investigates the concept of a
primary tapped transformer in a high frequency isolated topology. The effect on efficiency with variation in supply
voltage is studied and it is shown that the bulk capacitance required reduces drastically.
