abstracts, titles and keywords of original research articles published in the South African Journal of Information
Management (SAJIM) between 1999 and 2017. Leximancer, a natural language analysis software tool, was
employed to examine the titles, abstracts and keywords of articles published in this journal. The findings of this
paper report on the evolution of the field of IKM research over 19 years of publication, and compares the findings
to global trends in IKM research.
