Abstract
Artificial Intelligence is widely used to make work easier and effective in all human endeavors, and Human Resource Management (HRM) is not left out; hence, the need to carry out the study. The study involved sampling one hundred and forty-two (142) travel industry workers in Gauteng, South Africa. To investigate the level of adoption and future direction of AI use in day-today activities of human resources (HR). Descriptive statistics, logistic regression, and t-test was conducted on the data collected. The findings of this study showed that the HR professionals embraced the use of AI in HR practices and the HR workers believed in the future of AI in HRM. Also, the factors influencing the use of AI for HR practices in South Africa were significant. Therefore, the study recommends that HR professionals in organizations should take advantage of AI. The study aligns with the sustainable development goals (SDGs, 8) about decent work and economic growth. It also aligns with AI for Sustainable Development Goals (AI4SDGs) Think Tank.
